Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows foreign nationals get quicker entry into a specific province or territory as experienced business professionals and qualified workers who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in that particular province or territory. Each Canadian province has its own selection criteria and requirement for selecting foreign workers therefore the PNP criteria and occupations differ from province to province. If a foreign national is issued a certificate of nomination, he must apply for permanent residence through IRCC and undertake an inadmissibility assessment by a visa officer who has the final decision on the application. Successful applicants must reside in the province that nominated them.
